Material Distortion Collection is Lucas Recchia’s latest series, a body of work born from innovative research that fuses tradition with experimentation. Here, fused glass is explored in a raw and organic way, intentionally revealing the traces of its making — bubbles, marks, and subtle irregularities that give the material an almost tactile, living presence. Each piece rests on cast bronze bases raw, patinated, or polished, paired with meticulously upholstered volumes in noble fabrics such as mohair and cashmere. The result is a dialogue between weight and lightness, structure and softness, matter and gesture.
