For the first time at SP-Arte Rotas, Studio Lucas Recchia presents a selection of works exploring the relationship between reflection, duplication, and desire. The presentation brings together seven new mirrors, produced in 12 limited editions, alongside sculptures in bronze and glass. The starting point is the experience of the mirrors presented at SP-Arte 2026, when visitors spontaneously became part of the works through their own reflections. In this context, the mirror moves beyond an object of contemplation to become a device for self-representation, exploring themes of vanity, introspection, and self-recognition.nnThe selection offers different interpretations of this relationship: in works such as Grão, Trama, and Contorno, bronze becomes an active sculptural element that interferes with the reflection, distorting and fragmenting the viewer’s gaze. The presentation also includes the bronze apple, associated with temptation, knowledge, and desire; Recordo, which transforms desire into memory; and works from the Material Distortion series, in which bronze and glass evoke jewelry enlarged to the scale of objects, connecting brilliance, value, and seduction. Through polished surfaces, reflections, and duplications, the works suggest that desire may lie not only in the objects we contemplate, but also in the image of ourselves that they return to us.

At SP–Arte 2026, the Studio Lucas Recchia presents a body of work that consolidates six years of research and marks a moment of creative maturity. Under the title Metamorphosis, the exhibition reveals a phase in which sculptural character and functionality reach a perfect balance, resulting in pieces of striking presence and new proportions.nnThe highlight of this edition lies in the refinement of forms and the presentation of exclusive commissioned projects, developed specifically for collectors and now unveiled to the public in new finishes. Among the works on view, the designer presents pieces from the Material Distortion collection — including the largest mirror ever produced within the series — alongside the Cirrus pendant light, the Coria and Morfa sconces, as well as a series of previously unseen works.nnWhile cast glass remains a central element within Lucas’s repertoire, bronze takes on a leading role in this presentation. The metal is explored as a structural element in a new family of lighting pieces that embody dense, enduring forms.

For its first participation in Design Miami, Bossa Furniture presents Craft as Language, an exhibition that explores how material knowledge moves across generations and how cities—like objects—construct their identities through deliberate acts of preservation and renewal. Featuring modern master Joaquim Tenreiro alongside contemporary designer Lucas Recchia, the exhibition positions Recchia as one of the leading voices of a new generation of Brazilian collectible design. His practice has gained international recognition for expanding traditional craft techniques into sculptural and experimental territories through works in cast glass, bronze, and hand-finished surfaces, combining technical rigor with emotional and architectural presence.

The solo exhibition presented by Design Miami/Paris marks one of the most significant moments in Lucas Recchia’s career. Bringing together works developed over the past six years, the presentation reflects an ongoing dialogue between materials, scale, and emotion, revealing the evolution of his sculptural and material research. Supported by Brazil Modernist, the exhibition expands the audience engaging with Recchia’s work through an important international platform. The presentation also represents a milestone for Brazilian collectible design, becoming the first solo show by a Brazilian designer at the French edition of Design Miami, with the support of Design Miami and Grela Orihuela.

During Design Miami/Paris, Lucas Recchia presented an exhibition at the Château de Courances, situating his works within the château’s historic gardens. Departing from a conventional exhibition format, the pieces were positioned in direct relation to the landscape, activating a quiet dialogue between constructed form and cultivated nature.nnGlass, bronze, and stone operate as mediators between distinct territories and temporalities. The works neither illustrate nor compete with the garden; they coexist with it. The result is a restrained and deliberate reading of the relationship between object, material, and site, where design approaches sculpture and the landscape becomes a constitutive element of the work.

Set within the intimate and carefully curated space of Bossa, this exhibition presents Recchia's talent for merging ancient techniques with contemporary aesthetics, creating forms that reveal the unique properties of each material. His approach is both meticulous and innovative, rediscovering and advancing the use of these time-honored materials. Each piece reflects a profound understanding and respect for the materials he employs.

Both Morfa, a project initiated by Lucas Recchia five years ago, and Mosai, a new and previously unseen series, stem from a simple desire: to create tables made entirely of glass. Bringing this idea to life, however, is far from trivial, as it also involves the pursuit of a new aesthetic language. Through a meticulous handcrafted technique never before applied to furniture design, the inherent qualities of glass are transformed, gaining solidity, character, and presence. The result is a series of functional objects that unfold into artistic experiences. Perceived as shifting, mutable presences, these works transcend the physical boundaries of matter through light, extending into the surrounding space. We invite you to witness these metamorphoses.

Lucas Recchia makes an inflection by employing standardized, replicable elements, taking advantage of molds even within a strictly artisanal production. In his compositions, metals cease to be mere structural lines of stained glass and instead gain prominence and depth through patinas applied in the foundry studio, successive acid baths that cover the surface with shades of blue, green, brown, and red. In his research, Lucas Recchia seeks to reclaim the tangibility of glass and explore its influence on the perception of reality: its ability to distort, to endow it with aura and atmosphere. By the very nature of glass and its symbiotic relationship with light, this reclamation extends beyond the physical dimensions of each piece of furniture or object.

Time transforms. The wind reshapes.nnIn 2019, Firma Casa presented the Morfa Series, an innovative furniture collection and the first signed body of work by the talented designer Lucas Recchia. Inspired by the transitions of matter that glass undergoes throughout its production process, the Morfa collection reflects the fascinating transformation of the material from its sandy state into glass. Created entirely by hand and exposed to temperatures exceeding 800 degrees without any physical containment, the pieces acquire free and unique forms, symbolizing the constant transformation of matter and our perceptions of the world around us. Through this collection, Lucas Recchia invites us to reflect on impermanence and the beauty found in forms shaped by time, heat, and human creativity, marking an important moment in the history of Firma Casa with works that challenge the boundaries of design and materiality.
