The first piece by the studio to incorporate fire as an active element, this fireplace introduces a new dimension to the practice—bringing together material, heat, and use within a single gesture.
Cast entirely in bronze, the piece presents a continuous, fluid form—recurring within the work—here tensioned by the presence of fire. A red gradient patina intensifies this relationship, evoking temperature, density, and transformation.
Designed for outdoor use, the fireplace incorporates a cut-out top with fused glass, allowing it to function as a side table when not in use—and as a support surface when lit.
Developed over an eight-month process, the piece establishes a more intimate dimension within the work: an object that, through the activation of fire, naturally gathers people around it.
