For the development of Equus, materiality was pushed to its very limits. The inherent rigidity and linear precision of stone are brought into tension and ultimately transformed through the organic forms that define both the base and tabletop of the console.
Conceived as a sculptural exploration of balance, the piece challenges the conventional perception of stone as static and immutable, revealing instead a sense of movement, fluidity, and almost tactile softness. Through complex carving processes and carefully studied proportions, the material appears to bend and dissolve into continuous curves, creating a visual language that oscillates between strength and delicacy.
