Caco Collection
“Caco” is the Brazilian word for “shard.” In this work, Lucas Recchia delves into the expressive potential of glass, exploring the emotions that the aesthetics of broken glass evoke: a sense of both loss and transformation. A shattered object ceases to simply “be” and instead begins the process of becoming something new. This piece was crafted using discarded industrial glass, developing a recycling process.

- 01About the Material
Made from recycled glass, each piece may show small bubbles, inclusions and variations in tone, which are part of the material.
- 02Regular Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid rough cloths, which can scratch the surface and dull its transparency.
- 03Deep Cleaning
Use a cloth dampened with warm water and mild soap. Rinse with clean water and dry at once with a soft, dry cloth to avoid water marks.
- 04Impacts and Temperature
Recycled glass is resistant, but it can break or crack after falls, strong impacts or friction. Never drag the piece across the floor. Always lift and move it carefully and safely, avoiding friction or contact with the floor, as this may cause cracks or damage to the glass. Keep the piece in a safe spot, away from edges and busy areas. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as direct contact with hot or cold surfaces. Glass can be sensitive to thermal shock.
